• MAXIMUM ADULTS ALLOWED: FOUR (4) ADULTS permitted
***Any guest age 12 or greater is considered an adult by Placer County.***
****Maximum Occupancy = 5 Persons Total BUT NO MORE THAN 4 Adults****

• PET POLICY: Pets are negotiable with additional fee and rules. $50 (plus tax) PER PET PER WEEK (Not Prorated). Please enter the number of pets and number of guests when searching for availability and the 1st pet fee should be included in the total cost of your booking (varies by booking site).
***If you have more than one pet or your pet fee was not automatically included, ADDITIONAL pet fee(s) will be requested separately after you've booked.***

• NO AIR CONDITIONING: Like 99% of homes here in Lake Tahoe, this property DOES NOT have air conditioning, but fans will be provided when needed.

• PARKING: Limited to TWO (2) compact vehicles but there may be fewer spaces when snow conditions exist. No street parking is permitted.

• OTHER THINGS TO NOTE:
*This home has cameras on site. Located at the exterior only.
*Yard is fully fenced but, is only about 3.5 feet high in the front.
*Cabin does not have a dishwasher.

This unique home is located in the heart of Kings Beach! The property known as “The Gingerbread Cottage” by locals has a distinct look inside and out.

The intimate octagon family room on the main floor has a TV and a Blu-Ray (with Wi-Fi) player with surround sound and a Firestick to stream your personal Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, etc. Stay warm on those cool nights with the convenience of the freestanding gas stove. This room can also function as a second sleeping area with the use of the new queen sleeper sofa.

The main floor bathroom has a slate walk-in shower with a gentle rain shower head. Additional note: this toilet area is tightly built like being on a boat, so may not be best for larger individuals.

Enjoy cooking with a fully furnished kitchen and high-top dining table and gas fireplace. Unpack and stay awhile using the new, unitized washer and dryer.

Inside you can snuggle in the queen-sized bed with the comforts of memory foam and quality linens under a 20-foot teepee CEILING in the octagon-shaped large master suite. And enjoy the bright, updated bath with heated porcelain floors. There is also a twin bed in the Master bedroom.

In the Summer, you'll love having two decks, one for grilling and one rooftop for views, and use of bikes and kayaks, you might spend just as much time outside as inside! With the most unique house in the area and a prime location, you cannot go wrong with this romantic Gingerbread Cottage!

We took day trips to Donner State Park and Prosser Creek Rec Park and loved them both!! Great spot for kayaking!! Having the backyard was awesome for our pup to explore!!!

  Where do I start with this cute property? First I loved that it has its own driveway, great back yard with fire-pit, the outside balcony was awesome, kitchen though small was still spacious, bedroom up stairs has it's own full bath and old victorian kind of style. I have to give some negatives to keep it real, Strainers missing in some faucets, Towel in the shower had a humid smell(maybe don't hang one there previously). That's really it. Other than that, I would definitely stay there again when in Lake Tahoe.

  Very cute house. We stayed in 10-20 degree temperatures and the furnaces kept the whole place warm. We did not notice the heater in the master bedroom until the end of the trip. The heated floors in the master bathroom was super nice when it was cold. Someone definitely needs to clean and detail the dishes and silverware. I got shocked really bad turning on the heater in the main shower. The fenced in yard was amazing for the dogs. Overall cute old place could use a remodel but it’s a lot bigger than what it looks like in the pictures.

  The place came equipped with all we needed. The great WiFi and Premium channels on the TV was welcome when the snow started coming down. The fireplace heaters worked well. The yard is great - we brought our two Labs. I would like to enjoy the cabin during the summer as the yard has plenty of beautiful outdoor space.

  Beautiful little cottage. Nice bed and bathroom. Can’t understand why you wouldn’t just replace the darn couch. Such a simple improvement that would make your guests more comfortable. We like to watch TV in the evening and it was awfully uncomfortable. Loved the back yard and the upstairs patio. We took a ride on the bikes but had to walk them back to the cottage because of the hills.😅 Really close to Kings beach and restaurants,walkable a few blocks. Lake Tahoe is so beautiful!

  Our stay at the Gingerbread cottage was great! I loved that it was walking distance to the beach, restaurants, and shops. It was a bit warm inside but the fans helped. The backyard was beautiful! There was not a dart board as shown in picture but we brought some of our own games to play. The pull out sofa was broken which was a bit disappointing. It was a quiet neighborhood and all and all a fantastic place to stay.
