This Classic Mid-Century cabin is conveniently located in one of the North Shore’s most charming neighborhoods, Agate Bay.

• MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: SEVEN (7) Persons TOTAL INCLUDING CHILDREN

• PET POLICY: No pets permitted

• NO AIR CONDITIONING: Like 99% of homes here in Lake Tahoe, this property DOES NOT have air conditioning, but fans will be provided.

• PARKING: Limited to 3 compact vehicles (fewer when snow conditions exist). Street parking is never permitted.

• DISCLOSURES: Must climb stairs. 5 steps leading into the house. Cabin is equipped with a bear deterrent system that must be turned off prior to entry and turned back on when you leave.

This family cabin sits adjacent to conservancy forest land which conveys a beautiful backdrop of solitude in nature, yet it is only a few blocks walk from the lake and Carnelian Bay shops. Filtered lake views from the spacious deck. Home still retains its original charm and character with exposed beams and vaulted ceilings, large, picturesque windows allowing for plenty of natural light, a wood burning rock fireplace, and an outside deck for entertaining, it also has modern day amenities and updates including stainless steel appliances in the kitchen (electric range, over-the-range microwave, fridge with top freezer but, no dishwasher), a new washer and dryer in the laundry room, high speed internet and two SMART TVs.

This easy and sweet family cabin has a great deck facing the wooded area that’s complete with a new propane gas grill, comfy patio seating and space for dining al fresco. Also located on the main floor is the kitchen and an open living area furnished with comfortable and stylish newer furniture - perfect for relaxing while viewing the snowcapped trees or natural beauty of the surrounding forest on a wintery day. If you prefer, you can head out on the large deck and view some of Tahoe's wildlife in their natural habitat. Property is situated next to Tahoe Conservancy Land where bears and wildlife are particularly active and sightings are common occurrences. It's certainly a unique experience to be able to enjoy these close encounters with such peace of mind since access to the elevated deck is equipped with Bear Deterrent Wires.

The home has three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The master suite and its attached bathroom with shower take up the entire top level and overlook the living space below. This bedroom is oversized and features a plush, new King bed. There’s also a television and dedicated work desk in this bright and airy suite. The additional bedrooms are downstairs and share a full bath with tub/shower. Each of these two cozy rooms have a queen bed and dressers for storing your things as well as plump sitting chairs. A self-inflating twin air bed can also be set up in the primary bedroom or living area for a 7th guest.

Bring your skis and enjoy the snow! Easy access and great location to Tahoe Palisades, Northstar Ski Resort, Mt. Rose and Homewood!

  This cabin and location were great for a last-minute winter getaway. The cabin is old but well-maintained and warm. Only quirk is the arming/disarming of the bear deterrent system (electric fence). Better to have one than not, I suppose. We really enjoyed evenings by the fireplace.

  My husband and I, with our two adult children, had plenty of room and truly enjoyed our stay at the Honey Bear Cabin! The location is fantastic - we hiked, kayaked and played pickleballl, all within very close proximity. The cabin was clean and fully equipped and the beds were very comfortable. The correspondence was quick and instructions were clear for check in and check out.

  Close to the lake and Truckee, not a bad drive to Emerald Bay and Sand Harbor. Comfortable and clean with three true bedrooms. The interior is a bit dated, and the cabin is close to other homes, but it's pretty quiet. The management company was excellent to work with.

  Rental was clean and worked out well for our family of 5. It also included some beach chairs and an umbrella in one of the closets which we really appreciated. Some ideas of areas to improve-cooking dishes and utensils need replaced/added to and a few fans would have been great. Overall we would stay here again. The location was great and a good middle ground for the east and west side of the lake

  We rented the Honey Bear Cabin (no actual bears showed up, thankfully) for a few days prior to the "America's Most Beautiful Bicycle Ride" around Lake Tahoe on June 5th, 2022. The cabin was perfectly situated along the north shore near shopping, restaurants, beach activities etc. The cabin was in perfect condition, all needed amenities were provided. An ice maker or at least some ice trays would have been appreciated; however, they left us two small bags of ice and we just rationed that and it was enough. The cabin was perfect. No complaints. Oh, maybe a Keurig coffee maker would have been nice. Would definitely rent this cabin again !!

  It was as expected the only issue I had was didn't have proper connection adapter to stream to the tv screen and none available in the area to buy. The other thing was no insulation book other then that everything was great would come back again
